Home Sweet Home

There were some questions about where we lived both during our trip to America and while we were in England for our wedding so I thought I would post some photos of our apartment and explain things. We live on the sixth floor (America counting) of a large apartment block in a village just outside of Warsaw proper called Piastów. It's a quiet place and the rent is cheap but it takes a bit of time to get into the city, especially when there is traffic. It's home though, and we like it.

Above you can see views of our front room. Notice the Polish flag and the dead cat laying on the couch - his favorite place when there is nothing better to do. The door on the left of the right hand picture leads out to our balcony which is also popular with the cats.

This room is the central hub of the apartment. Going from left to right the doors lead to the shower/sink/wash machine room, the bedroom (complete with American flag), the kitchen, and the outside. The front room is back around farther to the right. Teddy is still learning the lay of the land as you can see from this photo.

Speaking of the bedroom here is a picture of "where the magic happens". You can see a better view of my American flag as well as my wife's sombrero. My Union Jack is hiding behind the Stars and Stripes because the curtain holder is a bit defective.

And finally here we see our kitchen. Nothing special but it's ours and it works. You can see other pictures of our flat on the My Profile page as well as a past post about Christmas.

Due to popular demand I am going to focus on some photos of Poland for a while. I would like to recommend that everyone take a look at the pictures I have posted already using the Poland and Tatra labels.
