Valley of Fire State Park
After Vegas and on our way to Utah we stopped by at the Valley of Fire State Park. I had never been there before and was suprised at how beautiful the area was.
Like all of the other deserts there was simply nothing. But it was amazing to see.
There are wonderful red rock formations that date back millions of years to the time when this part of North America was under the sea.
There are hiking trails that lead to more interesting sites, including an area with fossil remains, but we were on a schedule (and a bit lazy) so we just drove through, took some pictues, and headed out.
